Detroit Lions jersey history album

1995 > 1998 Reebok

Reebok was the exclusive supplier from 1995 - 1998.  However, almost all of the Apex jerseys from 1994 were recycled for use in 1995 as well.  On those, the Lions actually removed the Apex sleeve emblems and tail tags and replaced them with Reebok.  They left the Apex "94" year tags on, however.

From the 1995 Lions yearbook:  "The 1995 season will mark the debut of Reebok International as the official supplier of the Lions uniform and sideline apparel."  That season, they were the only NFL team wearing Reebok uniforms.

For 1996 the Reebok logo was embroidered directly onto each sleeve, forward of the numbers.

For 1997 the Reebok logo was embroidered directly onto each sleeve, above the numbers.

Note the first appearance of the 'lineman cut' sleeves in 1997 and 1998, with the knitted cuffs barely retaining three thin sleeve stripes.
