In 1973, the Lions added white trim outside of the silver sleeve
stripes. The stripes are woven into the material.
Thread remnants in the center of the left sleeve stripe suggest it once had the
black memorial arm band worn in the 1974 regular season for Head Coach Don McCafferty, who died shortly before training camp.
